Sustainability, systemization, simplification.

Designer Statement

I have no respect for the status quo.

My work is dedicated to challenging the status quo of the modern-day capitalist system; one that has threatened the fate of our planet and its people to historically unprecedented, life-threatening territories. My efforts are dedicated to two distinct, yet interconnected forms of work: art and design. My artwork serves as the megaphone; it exposes the inner-workings of a toxic capitalist system that exploits the planet and its people, while my design work explores the tangible, product-based possibilities that have the potential to steer us to a more sustainable, healthy future. My design process is compromised three fundamental building blocks parts: maximized material efficiency, ubiquitous product compatibility (cross-product compatibility) and finally, the simplification and reduction of product design. My main venture, Piece-wear, encompasses these 3 primary building blocks through a new category of fashion design: Modular Garment Architecture.

For me, design has never been led by the mere looks of the final product. In fact, aesthetic is the last consideration that's held before finalizing the design of a product.

In my design oriented work, the

My design process is compromised three fundamental building blocks: sustainability, systematic-thinking and simplification.

The sustainability of a product is the first and most important aspect of my design process-- it determines-- and sets the constraints for-- the outcome of the final product. As a result of the striving to reach a desired sustainable, outcome endless amount of creative possibility and freedom is always   These parameters are set by the following: the selection of the most sustainable alternatives to a desired final product,

Aesthetic is the last consideration that's held before finalizing the design of a product. That being said, the aesthetic is what makes the final product, great.

I have no respect It's the status quo that prioritizes the bottom line above all else; the status quo that ; the very reason we find ourselves amidst an environmental crisis that putting our human race a stake.

Although strongly intertwined, my efforts are split between 2 forms of work: my work as an artist, and that of a amateur sustainable clothing designer.

Form follows Function--
however, now, Function must follow Sustainability."
